Tips for using your Ball Baby mt with an older baby/toddler
I'd like to thank my lovely customer service rep Robin for all of these pics. She illustrates everything so perfectly! And now, without any further ado...

Here are two shots of a bum wrap (a phrase coined by Robin and I think is way too cute!) All the bum wrap really comes down to is flattening out the straps around your baby's tushie instead of bunching them up and just crossing them. The bum wrap will give better support for a heavier child and/or one who is prone to slouching. It also looks more wrap like to me.

This is just a back view of the bum wrap so you can see how long your straps will be with a regular BB mt. It's important to note that Robin's straps aren't all nice and flat here because the only thing she is showing is the length of the straps in the back after a bum wrap. Below there are pics of proper strap placement.

This particular tie is called the "Lexi Twist", perfected by a member at thebabywearer.com and very popular with many members there. I like how it pulls my baby up nice and snug against me and makes it harder for him to arch and bend over backwards which is oh so fun for me.

Lexi Twist back view. Again, disregard the strap placement, Robin is only showing the strap length.

This is the normal way I tie most of my mts. The straps are not smoothed out over the baby, they are just scrunched and tied. This is the fastest way to tie your mt.

This is the way to wear your mt. The straps are not high on your neck, they are centered and smooth. They stay smooth across your back which will make them very comfortable. They are also nice and tight. They most important things to remember is smooth and tight.

These are pics of a back carry with a lexi twist. On the second pic, Robin's right shoulder strap is a bit skiwampus. She is not focusing on the strap placement in these pics, she is illustrating the length of the straps and the different ties. Just keep that in mind. These straps should all look smooth and centered when you put them on.

This is a regular front carry.

This is a rucksack carry. The straps are just bunched and tucked under your arms like a backpack.

Extra long straps in a regular front carry. Pretty, but long!

Here is the lexi twist with extra long straps.

Again, thanks to Robin for creating these pics. She illustrates everything much better than I could, plus, who can't help but fall in love with her daughter!

Please remember to be patient with yourself while you are learning. It will take time and practice to get really good at using your baby carrier, but it is worth it!
